If both LAN input DAC is ROONReady , and the streamer is ROONReady certified , both act as audio receiver.
ROON can be used in a Trinty fashion , ROON client , ROON Server (CORE) , and ROON Receiver (ROONBridge or ROONReady , send to ROON or not ).
For ROON Core , it can be used as ROONBridge , but ROONReady ( ROONBridge ) may NOT be ROON Core server
the system was designed base on Mutli ROOM function requirement, you can have 1 ROON core, but play it different parts of your home with different ROONReady Device (hardware) .
You can have a ROONReady speaker in study room and another one in living room , playing different music .
ROON Core will have the ROON Audio device playback function , so , that machine can work alone.
