Burmester vs Esoteric vs Playback CDP

Would like to get some comment from chings here,

budget around 80-100k or so,

Burmester 001 or 061 vs Eso K03 vs Playback 3

Which one has overall better preformance, Amp should be Rowland corus + 645 (not yet purchase, but most likely will go with this brand) & 803D speaker

I prefer musical performance more!

I compared Playback 3 to Playback 5 directly once : 5 is much much better than 3. Playback 5 definitely worths the price difference.
Kachow hing & mr1010 hing are Playback 5 owners and are using it happily.

An external clock is mandatory for K03 to optimize the performance. You have to spend more on another good powercord & clock cable and more rack space.

Also, IMHO Playback is more musical whereas Eso & Burmester are more HiFi.

cause I have to consider the outlook as well. Boss will definitely reject the immagration of CD8... (playback may have problem as well, but worth to try)

For musical performance, Soulution 540 is definitely a good choice albeit it's a bit over your budget.

540 is alot more expensive, not just a bit? whats the price now?
