In this action-packed mystery thriller, Academy Award winner, Denzel Washington stars as Whip Whitaker, a seasoned airline pilot, who miraculously crash lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, saving nearly every soul on board. After the crash, Whip is hailed as a hero, but as more is learned, more questions than answers arise as to who or what was really at fault and what really happened on that plane?

In the film — which seems to be somewhat inspired by the 2009 flight that Chesley Sullenberger and his crew helped save, and the pandemonium that followed — Washington plays an airline pilot who miraculously averts disaster when a plane he is piloting malfunctions and plummets to the ground. He is quickly hailed a national hero, but it doesn't take long before his personal dirt is dug up, jeopardizing his public image and much more.
