Did a quick audition last night with some of my BluRay True Audio disc. The best performer last night was Credo by Helene Grimaud. The size of piano is smaller than what I heard from TotalDac ethernet cable, but it's more realistic base on my concert hall experience. The bass is very resolved and image is very pinpoint. What attracted me most is how involving the music was being reproduced. Tempest, my favorite piano sonata from Beethoven was played well by Helene. Makes to mistake, I still believe she played it too fast (compare with Alfred Brendel), but this time, the sonic picture is more enjoyable. First time, I found the sonic character is very closed to what being played by the Memory Player MP64-16 ! Up next is the Four Season by Janine Jansen, originally I planned listening to the Summer only but wind up I replayed the whole thing. I think this Meda cable performs superbly in mass string besides Piano. I do not want to use "sweet" to describe to characterize the tonal signature, but it's just real and harmony. Up next for this weekend will be the Turandot and Wagner's Ring cycle. Stay tune.
**This leave me wonder how's Meda Interconnect will perform ?
