Hi C-hing,
In this season, the room temperature is about 18 degrees and my HS-251 is not hot at all. It has a WD Red 4TB NAS HDD inside. I'm not sure if it is hot in summer.
So I'm curious why so many prople say it has an overheating problem.

It should run pretty cool for sure, should be around 38 to 40 degree. I believe there is a temperature reading within the management screen which allows you to monitor the internal temperature. I also turned off unnecessary service and applications to reduce CPU load.

Is your HS251 a 2G RAM version ? It might be worthwhile to add an extra 1G RAM to your unit if you have 1G version.
