Perhaps I talk more about the Symphony 5. It is 5 way. In the brief session, I did not discern any discontinuity or overlap in the frequency spectrum, in other words, good continuity from bottom to high. No mean feat, meaning skillful selection of crossovers to match different drivers.
Each speaker comprises 3 cabinets which are supported by 4 rubies at 4 bottom corners of the top 2. Real ruby 真紅寶石, they say.
Each cabinet is more or less open baffle for enhancing dispersion (but practically need more drivers because of front to back cancellation). The so called cabinet is basically a frame, made of sanwich materials, aluminum, acrylic, aluminium.
Based on my brief listening, the diamond tweeter has a “stronger” sound than the ribbon tweeter. So if I were to play designer, I would use a longer ribbon or better still, used another one at the back because high frequency travels short distance. The dual ribbon approach would enhance the high frequency in the centre fill, for exanple, that of the snare in a drum solo. |
