The Ealing School of Art, Design and Media (part of the University of West London) has installed PMC twotwo.5 active loudspeakers in two new radio studios, which have been built as part of a £50 million pound campus regeneration scheme. The studios are being used to teach students the creative and technical skills needed for a career in radio. They are also being used to broadcast Blast Radio, the University of West London's official student station.
Justin Randell, Veale Associate's Technical Consultant who specified the PMC speakers, says: "We chose the PMC twotwo.5 speakers because these are a natural evolution from the TB2s used in professional broadcast facilities. They offer excellent sound monitoring, which is essential to ensure radio content is transmitted clearly as it goes out on air. The compact cabinet size also makes them easier to mount when space is at a premium."
