My Android phone is dying

Woke up this morning just to find out the old Nexus S kept on rebooting upon entering the main menu, but could not load the "usb storage".

Is it dead or can be repaired? Pls help, thx.

Really don't want to spend extra money on phone, and don't have the time to research for a new one, and it is very inconvenient (no data backup)since no other means of communications like whatsapp is available (except verbal communication via an old nokia phone).

Very confusing now, as do not want to spend too much money on smartphone, but already have 4G LTE card/plan. Galaxy Note II LTE is expensive and a bit large for daily carriage.

Already have another Galaxy tab 10.1 3G, just convinced a releative to buy my MTV 3100D so that I could upgrade to 7000D mini, may buy an ipad mini to use it with 7000D to watch TV in PRC/overseas. Also itchy to buy the forthcoming Asus padfone(for PRC sim card), but all of a sudden, my old Nexus S is dying.

Not to mention my ongoing upgrade path/dream of AV/hifi: - DAC(Asus muse version...), integrarted 2 channel amp/pre-amp with AV bypass, and even another stereo amp to drive my Revel F12.....

Thx, best price obtained so far is $3,398 from Texxxxx, using my relative's account(existing client). Btw, have the phone for nearby shop for repair at $250 if done, but all the contents will be gone.

Both at $3,398, which one will you buy? LG Nexus 4 - 3G only, bad comment on battery hours, Samsung Galaxy Express, LTE, newly/recently released? price therefore is at peak. Thx.

Already sent the phone for repair last night at nearby phone shop. The repair man said he already tried twice "normal repair procedure" but still not successful. Will continue today, but all the contents will be gone even get fixed.

有gmail account, you mean restore contacts with it? will give it a try, not sure if data sync is up to date. Still whatsap/pic no backup

Fortress @$3,9xx, SSP maybe $3,500-3,600, not 100% sure as no recent updating sought. Not sure of any new model, 7000D mini seems to be the latest model. You buy too?

Bad and good news:- shop confirmed repair impossible/failed.

An good excuse to buy a new one.

But the timing is not so good/right.

This case reflects my general attitude:- no money at one hand, itchy to buy new gears, not enough money for premium model, buying budget model may not be satisfied, ask and research and end up no buying after all in the short term. But this time there is an urgency. Many unwanted sales phone call cannot be blocked by my legacy nokia plain phone.
