I read somewhere that using a USB flash drive would have faster boot time than SD. Not sure if tha ...
But the micro sd is the only way to install the music player which is the operation system as Windows of PC and the micro sd is the operation drive of Linux as the OS drive of PC. The Raspburry couldn't be booted from the USB flash whitout the OS in the sd slot.
Though the Rasperry could read all music files directly without installing the sub-files (plugins) as foobar in Windows, the DTS files (surround sound) could still not be played properly with music but only pink noises could be heard. I have googled to find a solution but failed. I would appreciate if any brother here can provide help in this regard. Thanks

I am using RuneAudio through Raspberry to Holo Spring and satisfy with its performance compared to PC + Foobar to Holo Spring. I have also tried Volumio which I think inferior to RuneAudio no matter in operation or sonic quality. So, I suuggest you better use RuneAudio instead.
