不要誤會, 小弟只是希望 chauser兄出post, 談談他所玩過的五部 passive preamps 啫.


製造TVC preamp 當然是牛最重要的!
Preamp 牛的抽頭如此的多, 業餘者是很難diy.  就算買了原装 preamp牛回本, 駁線也是極之繁復難做的.

在構想的AVC/TVC 或會用上
1) Tribute Audio's autoformer make use of nanocrystalline toroidal core. http://www.tribute-audio.nl/
2) 日本制http://www.ebay.com/itm/Teramoto ... hash=item2ec4d05a64
短期實現它的機會低於30%, 因目前十分满意direct drive by DAC的效果。

用過的5款如下,
1) Audio Synthesis Passion Pro V, Vishay resistors
2) Luminous Audio Axiom
3) Nude attenuator EVS
4) DIYhifiSupply Django TVC (Billington tannies)
5) Prometheus Signature TVC, double c-core, mono block, from Malaysia

一句話, transformer base 比 resistive type 好多了。

以上五款paasive preamps, 小弟只用過Axiom, US$150 底用，声底好清。c/p ratio very good!

其實Ching手上的銀牛前級可以試從DAC平衡輸出接銀牛的input，最好不要用adaptor，2腳接正，3腳接負，1腳不接。
動態會有改善。

That's the truth!! As a formal MFA Preamp user, Transformer base is the only passive preamp topology for highend system! It is more punchy, exciting and upfront then my Pass Labs XP20, but lack of inner details, 3D imaging and presence of sound stage when comparing side by side.......and the flexibility of remote control.......

Ching真係一語道破，此等無源前級的廠家都沒有提供remote的，還好我聽音樂的地方細小。

MFA provide option for remote control for volume, but it is quite expensive. When I was using the MFA Passive Pre, I did ask for the quote from MFA........ When get use to Remote Control, it really cannot forget the convenience of a click of the finger......

I agree with foxtan c-hing's comments.

The way I see it is that passive preamp is like 白粥，味道清香。但胆前級就可能似雞粥呢! 各有各好食啦! 不時轉吓口味也是樂趣。每樣嘢食得多也會悶。
