thanks for coming for audition of new Rockna R2R ladder one....  

I like the New Rocka 26bit R2R ladder modules which made by theselves too!   hope the First 27bit R2R in the world will be even better......

Even all high end DAC i collected are R2R ladder DAC.  but they are quite different in sonic character....

跟CKKeung兄whatsapp吹水前後三年，前日才首次踫頭，原因不就是Rockna 出了新版Wavedream, 大家都急不及待去Ben Sir 公司聽聽Rockna私房菜金磚版是否勝過之前MSB金磚版。 答案? CKKeung兄説了。

Rockna DAC 第一代Wavequest及第二代Wavedream 分別用過及用緊，它們同樣採用MSB module，當中換代的大躍進歸功於digital execution做得好，今次Wavedream 私房菜版做到了潤色有度及背境更黑，這應歸功於26bit resolution module 及新増的Jfet拼bipolar 的 class A output stage。

小弟偏好R2R生猛鮮活，如今私房菜又更好味, 冇辦法唔跟Rockna向前走。

Filter有無多左？我見有介紹apodising，唔知係咪即係以前的minimum phase?

Ckkeung兄， 最舊的 Platinum Plus 係 46bit. 而家二十幾 bit，咁咪退步咗。

我當然知道數碼科技係進步咗。

Filter types remain unchanged leh.

Dear Mahi Hing,

Filter 無多到... 一樣是 Linear ,  Minimum 和Hybrid.  但我覺得 FILTER OFF  (Non oversampling NOS)  比以前好聲....  更直接把聲.

沒有.....Rockna Wavedream DAC Edition -single ended,   沒有 balanced 座的....

除了新的 R2R modules，output stage 也改良了不少！

Today had the chance to listen to the rockna new dac standard version

The sound stage is very large with a dark background and very good dynamic ranges

Amazed at the price point too

Really tempted!

Dear all,

Rockna WaveDream NET 到左啦!!!

一部機已包括Media Server & CD 轉盤.  終於可以I2S 玩 24/384 and dsd  出WaveDream DAC 啦!   



Wavedream NET 內部有一個純CD 轉盤 和1TB SSD Media Server .  內有femto clock 做 control .  可以透過I2S 出 CD  和 PCM24/384 , DSD256x ,  亦有AES/Coaxial 和 BNC 出.  

CD 轉盤..
CD 轉盤透過Read till dead (at least twice the read data is identical ,  如果唔係re-read the frame) ,  將成條track 放上512MB RAM .  之後用femto clock 控制set out timing.   Transport 可以播放 16/44 ~ 24/384 data.  也可以放dsf file.  (via AES/Coaxial and BNC for DSD64x)  .      當然可以用I2S over HDMI  set out 啦.... (less jitter).

Media Server ....
WaveDream NET 內置一個自己打做的Intel motherboard .  可以用iPAD/Android 選擇歌唱.  透過femto clock controlled FPGA  輸出24/384 和DSD256x data.  


用I2S 出 digital signal 比WaveDream DAC 比以前的分析力要好.

Dear Chaucer ,  

the Rockna Wavedream DAC MSRP in Hong Kong is much less than that......, but it definitely worth that price!
