A couple of paragraphs in Chinese had been cut during posting. So I write them again in English.
The Tutti CD may have a mixture of positive and inverted absolute phase tracks. Therefore this point should be borne in mind when using it as a means to detect and understand absolute phase.
The phase issue of the 2016 HiFi Show CD. The explanations provided by 大草 and Terence Lai are more of a defence in my view and I have reasons to support what I think. I do not wish to jump into the fray of arguments because I do not see any purpose of doing so. Many CDs in the market have inverted absolute phase and over 30% of my LPs have such phenomenon. If one can hear inverted phase, merely switch it with the remote. If one can't, just leave it as is.
A incurable problem occurs when the left and right channels of a track have different absolute phase. There is a track recorded by a renowned audio engineer in Hong Kong and of course it attracted all sorts of accolades. I told Ben Lau some time ago about the left and right channel inversion. He used the switch back and forth and listened attentively for this error. He was able to spot it.
Microphone diaphragms may change the phase and engineers who use different microphones for recording different instruments and voice may not be aware of the phase difference. Mastering engineers do not spot it either because it is hard to detect with the near field speakers at the console and above all, it is not an item to be noticed in the working list.
