Listened to some tracks of this Kogan CD, the violin by Kogan seemed to be stressful and raw to me. Maybe I am not up to the level to appreciate his style. So far the violin I listened perhaps sound smooth in general, that's why I have such comment. Anyway just regard it as another listening experience .

Perhaps you could order from Disc Plus IFC 2 Central where they stock the Denon Crest 1000 series, however I haven't seen this title before in their shop.

這其實是一個常見的問題, 為什麼某個演奏有些人說好, 又有人說不好, 又某些演奏家比較受歡迎, 某些演奏家又不那麼容易被人接受。

先在這引用鄭延益老師一篇關於小提琴家 Szigeti 的文章 (部分內容):




那麼偉大的小提琴家, 內行人都要經歷一個從不喜歡到喜歡、而更是佩服的階段。我們一般的聽樂者又怎能一聽便能判斷一個小提琴家的真正優劣。

Kogan 是很多小提音樂迷所喜愛的小提琴家 (包括我自己在內), 不要因為這次 "listening experience" 而不聽 Kogan。另外那 CD 的音質與 LP 有颇大差距 (Denon 這批 CD 我覺得做得不好, 有機會要去 JSL 兄處聽 LP ) , 這也妨礙了初聽 Kogan 的樂迷對他的領會。

直到最近重聽他的Beethoven Sonata系列


希望Kraftwerk2師兄也可以給與Kogan多幾次機會
小弟願意提供他不同的錄音作參考

Actually, I just sold a 6-LP box set of the Art of Szigeti a few days ago.
