Agreed.  Even with the switching power supply, the background is more silent compare to my Mac Mini.

And in terms of jitter, it should be much lower. Because Voyage is tune for audiophile with only very little background jobs (<100 processes). A typical MacOSX may have 400 or more processes, thought most of them are "sleeping".

十分認同, 我其實都試過Flac, Wav, Apple lossless等等file...還是wave最好.  

至於軟件, 當初 ...

I am not saying WAV is not good.  But considering the ID3 and clipart, FLAC, AIFF will be the best.

As a IT person, I don't think Win8 will discourage you.

其實我唔係好熟Windows既操作. 亦未用過Win8. 我都係平時用黎做文書,email. 我D IT技能全部都係Server或者程式上既野.. 所以一對住d office, windows都好handicap.. ,但係你話裝機裝OS就無乜難度..

You don't need to work on client PC with client side applications?  Just servers????  You are so lucky...........

I am also in IT, recently changed to a job using Win7.... (previous 10+ years of work were on WinXP, Win2k...)
To me, I still learning the UI of Win7, don't tell me to learn Win8 so early

FLAC:

You see, everything can be shown.

WAV:


Only song name (file name) and cover can be shown.

Although WAV can't store as much information as AIFF / FLAC, it still can display some very basic things like CD cover.

Foobar2000跟JRiver比較，相差很大，JRiver只係50歐元，值得投資的。

Windows8 可以免費升上8.1，不過我耳不靈光，唔識比較那個好。
而windows 8左右都能shotdown。
