Very interesting, Peter.
Would you happen to know if they can custom make with solid state memory chip so all music signal will be played from memory instead of direct read and play. Besides, I will be very interested to find out if they can do I2S output as well.

Forgot the model since not see clear which is inside rack, just remember it cost $2xk

Actually, depends on whether ur Dac has clock in.  If only your CDT has clock -in, adding a clock may not worthwhile.
