It is rather surprising to see a Japanese player can't display Chinese.  Basically english speaking countries cannot decode multi-byte language is understandable, but how come   Japan products cannot handle Chinese properly?!

Unbelievable .  I have successfully add I2S-HDMI output into my N-70A.
Both PCM and DSD signals are natively transmitted to the dac.  
On the dac side,  I have replaced the Amanero USB with a HDMI-I2S receiver card.
The most interesting part is that DSD_ON was extracted from N-70A and being buffered to the DAC via HDMI cable.

可以著番衫.  In summary, I installed an I2S Send Card with buffered DSD_ON and patched 6 wires from the N70's controller board.  The N-70A's dac can be shutdown by removing its power connector. Now, my N-70A became a Native I2S music player supporting both PCM/DSD via HDMI LVDS.

Yes.  Left side are 5v lines and righ side are I2S signals.

All are 普通OPAMP.

Sorry. I don't have the skills and time to provide mod service.

BTW, just test the Up Sampling of N-70A.  The results are very acceptable.
44.1KHz will be up-sampled to 352KHz and 48KHz family will be 384KHz.

So far, I have tested N-70A with POPPULSE (twin ES9018), Buffalo III (Single ES9018), TDA1541A, PCM1704 and AD1865. Surprisingly,  NOS AD1865 can support PCM up to 384KHz.
