I ordered the grid and EMI on Feb 1... no further delivery status update yet.. Don't think that will be available before April.

By the way, planned to order the reference series interconnect... Any chings have the experience of the direct compare between the original "flat" cable to the new "twisted" cable in the same series e.g. 2000 or 3000? please share the experience.... have to place the order in 2 days before the price raise.

AP Hing, despite the fact that Michael says they are the same, I personally think the twisted version is better.  

They are newly designed, which is supposedly better, lighter and easier to twist is especially good in tight space.

Also, logically speaking, flat surface gets EMI/RFI interference easier, hence most of the cable companies uses twisted designs.

Schnerzinger maybe different since they have excellent isolation properties already, but Michael also brought the new versions for his most current demos around the world, that kinda explains it......

I personally ordered the twisted version myself, for both the SC and IC.

It depends on your space and your machines. Heavy machine should get the heavy version as I think. Lighter and twisted version may just for easy plug-in but heavy version should be the orginal design of Schnerzinger cable. I didnt compare the 2 versions, I prefer the heavy and flat version if your space and machines can support. I think most of the old users should have this thinking.

Before making my decision, I had a rather lengthy discussion with Michael regarding this, flat or twisted. Their cables are not exactly cheap, in fact it is quite a big and long term investment, any buyer should make things clear before purchases.

He asked me not to say too much, and so I won't, although I really don't think it's a secret anyway, but a promise is a promise.

Conclusion is, any new cable buyer should take the twisted version.

Of course, to each his own, I just don't quite get the rationale behind. With new technology heavily involved, newer version means better, not always, but usually.

Action speaks louder than words, we can see what Schnerzinger's "oldest" user uses in Munich high-end 2017 , then we'll know what's better.
