sorry , did not follow your thread . may I ask what is the difference in sonic signature with the 3M Pure silver SATA cable.
actually, I did try ripping AudioCD, with stock SATA and Antiopodes pure silver SATA one. the signature is diff for the wave .... 中頻唔同聲。 聽classical 都明顯.
After a couple of weeks of use Tasso suggested some worthwhile mods to the server. I was quite enjoying the CA setup as it was as it seemed the that the server and the Klein started opening up. I accepted Tasso’s gracious offer and he performed the following mods:
SOTM card
· Replace Electrolytic capacitors with Panasonic FC series
· Removed Molex plug to allow direct wiring of power to SOTM Card
· Upgraded standard USB port to Wurth unit
PICO ATX adapter
· Replaced all capacitors with Panasonic FC
· Upgraded DC input cable.
· Hardwired solid silver wire to Pico for 5V feed to SSD ( and made new Sata power adapter) and for 12V feed to SOTM input
And the difference with the mods…..WOW! The upgrades are significant and instantly noticeable. The bass has more authority and slam, more mid-range weight and more overall resolution and control.
