Dear Hercules and 1010,
I am now facing the same problem as Victor Hing. Also, it take me an extermely long time for analying music files from NAS even through I choose "1 core" as showed below.
Now, I installed the core in my PC and it was connected to the network through wifi. Should it be better if I use "LAN cable" instead of "wifi" for the connection?
One more thing I would also like to know is that "(1) Is the core actually involved to "decode" the music files? or (2) It only act as a "remote" to control my music server (Cary Audio DMS 500) to retrieve music files from NAS directly?"
If the ans is (1), I think a "LAN cable" should be used in my case. Also, a better LAN cable should be used as it may improve the sound quaility. Do you agree?
If I solved the above problem, I have no doubt to purchase a Lifetime licence for Roon. It is not only to save my time for sorting the music files in NAS, but also help me to explore more music from "Tidal". And I highly appreciated "Roon" provide a lot of informative brief note for each album and artist. |
