C-500C+C500T/P 官方價為 $120000.-/set , C1000C + C1000T/P 官方價格為 $180000.-/set
而 C1000 是可以膽石並用, 即 C1000C(電源控制)+C1000P(石)+C1000T(膽)三件 1set 官價為 $298000.-/set

翻閲咗呢條舊題，旗艦C1000确實豪華貴麗氣勢逼人，到目前仲喺老麥迷終極之選.

回憶當年某日面對著老麥嘅1000系列，包括當時嘅MCD/MDA1000全平衡分體轉盤加解碼器，心大心細，全數入手或段套嚟好呢。最後決定以比C1000C+C1000T平宜少少搞掂CD轉盤及解碼，一直聽到而家都唔想再換其他CD機了。當期間因某機緣，買入二手C500T，但覺得並唔喺自己想要嘅前級，故放棄之而決心downgrade想聽聽C2300。期間好幾次心動於一套二手C1000T，但最終亦忍手。目前嘅C2500就正正因為加入咗解碼輸入而暫無必要試了。

其實真正要機與機細膩咁比較過之後先能定義出師兄們所講強者與弱者之間嘅數字比例。暫時小弟並唔感覺兩者或三者喺音色象質中有著天與地，白天同黑夜嘅超距分別，是否存在著價格級別而主觀性嘅官能意識而有所定論呢。

Yes, old saying, you got what you pay for. As being a Mc fan for years, for Mcintosh gears, I have never thought that the more to pay, the better sonic performance I would get. It just wont work on me. It is all about sonic matching and whether your system sound is eventually coupled with your room.

Ken sir,

I completely agreed with you. It is all about your own ears to make judgement what is good for yourself and what to get. It would never been heard from those others who ask you which one is the best and what to buy. Most others are not actually a past or present users but simply words inputing. I set up my Mc system for my own ears only, not for everyone. I can not tell much sonic different among those models doesn't mean I have a pair of 木耳.

Surely your not a 木耳 ，而且是非常有經驗的高手
事實的確是這樣，每一個人都有自己的愛惡，口味不同亦有對音質標準的不同評定尺度，又或者可以說是每個人在生理上的耳朵構造也都不是一樣，所以對音色判斷亦是各有不同的取向和品味 。  在以往一個工作上之過案為例，一位仁兄竟把自己家裏的 Hi Fi 調較得高頻十分刺耳，雖然如此但他卻仍舊樂在其中，連小弟的小耳也差點裁在他的 Hi Fi 手上。  何解會如此呢？ 其實，因為此位師兄本身已是七十幾之高齡歲，他的耳朵也早已退化去了，然而不提高多幾些 '大聲高頻' 那就實在不行，這倒也是再拿他沒辦法的了。

Ken sir,

Please don't get me wrong, I was just exampling about 木耳 as an case to express myself what such huge different among those three models, in fact to me this may not be as described by others. I have been quite enjoy swapping around with different models, preamp or poweramps, whether is upgrading or downgrading my equipments. Mcintosh has not fail me period. As time goes by, I sure will get the c1000 to complete my full gear of Mcintosh before my hearing goes south as I rack up my age.

Some thoughts just came across, Mcintosh brand here in hiendy is the number 1 top list by its highest number of threads and topics created over other brands. Obviously it is all your credit, Ken sir that you spend time and patience helping us as well as providing updated info about Mcintosh products.

Anyway, just curious about if kachow hing really got the c1000? If did, hope to hear some thoughts from him. Thanks all.

C500 THAT YOU MENTIONED WAS SO POOR COMPARE THE C1000, SO  I NO OTHER CHOICE ,ONLY CRYING IT OUT

kachow 師兄 post 貼後不久巳經升級上 McIntosh C1000C+C1000T ，並已用了一段時候，相信現在巳煲機到七七八八了

其實若不對比上層型號， C500 分體式前級巳是相當不錯的機種了，它的設計是來自旗艦 C1000 ，亦可以說 C500 是 C1000 的簡化廉價版本，C500 本身也是 Daul Mono 設計 ，把所有對模擬線路之部件全數分離裝在另一個獨立機箱之內，用意是利用兩個獨立之機箱；把所有有可能對敏感的經模擬放大線路會造成物理上干擾的部份隔絕開去 ，以 C500C 為供電源部份和主體操控中心，而 C500T (膽管) 或 C500P (晶體管) 皆為無源之純放大部份，因此在所有效能和表現方面都比傳統一體化的前級放大優勝得多。
不過，C500 就不能和 C1000 一樣可以膽、石同時並用，C500 只可以單一的選擇是 C500C+C500T 或者是 C500C+C500P 了。

Well, no doubt about the c1000 is one hack of sexy looking preamp and should be kept for a long long time. To be honest, I am kinda miss my c500 which I downgraded to c2300 year ago, but was not rich enough to upgrqde to c1000 at that time. Sooner or later, I may as well pull my trigger for one of those.
