師兄,你set野集藝術與美聲於一身,一定好毒 !
係呢?不如分享下你點解會選擇用yter cable呢 ...
I am not a rational user , I don’t like thick cables cos in the 90s I used Audioquest and Straight Wire. They sound too rich and fatty, maybe improved in recent years. Not interested in any US cables thereafter.
Listened to silver cable say Audio Note (UK) not particularly impressive. Borrowed almost whole set earliest version of Ocellia silver cable (incl IC, PC and spk cable), good but not great, some people says I am testing too many Ocellia at one time so it is difficult to see the results . Or maybe I have some hearing problems . I am also not interested in highly analytical and very powerful cables cos I don't usually listen to large scale symphonies.
Thinking about would it be a good idea to use multi material cables and get best of both worlds. Haven’t listened to Yter before buying but know that it is made of palladium/silver used in SF and designed by Franco Serblin, so I imagine it should sound smooth and musical. Another concern is price, I think that > $10,000 cables are expensive while the Yters cost less than $10,000 perhaps XLR version will be more expensive.
Yter sounds good with my system, perhaps some will find its bass weight is limited. I brought the Yter to a friend's Gryphon old system which is quite obvious that bass is lighter compared with his PHY. However, top end extension improved. |
