Hi brother tckl,  this phono is quite OK for a brand new one under $10k HKD.  The sound is relaxing and natural.  But it's presentation is more on the soft side and you need to use a higher output MC cartridge (0.4mv or above) for adequate dynamics as well as retrieving enough low level details.

我之前比較過部 509u 同 Trichord Dino, 唔比較 lux 都ok 平平均均，但一聽 dino , d 有氣有力感始終比 509u 內置 phono 好。

Dino 粗得感性。有味的。  聽你講 lux d phono 都偏斯文舒服呵。

Yes, there is 2 levels of gain setting.  But even with the high setting, the gain is obviously not enough for a low output MC cartridge :(

SQ-N100, 首先, 價錢不錯, 2009年年初購買, 水貨,  但店舖已倒閉, 旺角七樓x誠.

但必定要換一對 12AU7 及 一隻 12AX7, 我換了

12AX7  - 一隻 Siemens or Mazda or Mullard or Telefunken or Amperex, 每隻現在輪流使用.
12AU7  - 一對 Telefunken Smooth

換了後才音色變「實」及「清脆」, 特別是鋼琴和小提琴聲, 反而後面四隻 EL84 就可以不換, 我換了 Ei 牌子但好像沒有變化.

一對 12AU7 及 一隻 12AX7 一定一定要換. 愈早換愈好, 原裝 luxman 跟機的 12AU7 及 12AX7 簡直不堪入耳, 我買機後近一年才換真空管, 這一年原來自己聽垃x.
