OPPO BDP-93/BDP-95 Blu-ray Disc Player Firmware Update
How to Get the Public Beta Firmware Upgrade:
There are two easy ways to upgrade your player's firmware.

1. USB Thumb Drive - Use your computer and a USB thumb drive.
2. Firmware Upgrade Disc - Use your computer to make a firmware upgrade disc.

Note: Although firmware upgrade is an easy and usually trouble-free process, it is important to ensure that the power supply to the player is stable, and the upgrade process is not interrupted. A failed firmware upgrade can render the player unusable.
This release is still a beta test version, not an official release. Use it only if you would like to experiment with the new features and improvements. There is a very small chance of the new features and improvements not working properly. If that happens, please report any issue to us. You may also revert to the latest official firmware via USB thumb drive or firmware upgrade disc.

Release Notes:
This version is designed for the OPPO BDP-93 and BDP-95 Blu-ray Disc players. Comparing to the previous Official release version BDP9x-66-0413, the major changes are:
Added "DVD 24p Conversion". This feature restores the original 24 film frames from DVD-Video and outputs it as 1080p/24Hz. To enable this feature, enter the Video Setup in the Setup Menu, set the "1080p24 Output" to be "Auto" or "On", and set the "DVD 24p Conversion" to be "On". Note: the actual DVD 24Hz conversion quality can be affected by the display’s processing and video source, especially for a non-3:2 pulldown cadence source.
Resolved random freezing issue while streaming from Netflix. Previously, customers reported that after installing the last Official firmware (BDP9x-66-0413), Netflix streaming could be unreliable, and in some cases, even result in the player completely freezing until a power cycle was performed. This firmware has resolved these issues.
Resolved the audio decoding failure on the "Volume Sixteen" DTS Blu-ray Demo Disc (released CES 2012). Customers reported clips for "Tron" and "Lion King" were improperly decoded when HDMI was set to LPCM. This firmware upgrades the DTS SDK to correct changes in the encoding standards for these kind of soundtracks.
Improved general disc compatibility based on recent and upcoming Blu-ray releases as well as user-submitted disc samples, such as "Dexter (BD, Season 4)".

All features and improvements of the previous firmware are also included in this version.

There are still plenty of DVDs that haven't been released in BD, and arguably you don't need to fork out $$ to buy BD for every movies, just my 2 cents.

其實我意思都唔係睇低看DVD的人，不過真係睇高清都未得閒。
我都有d DVD未睇過，但擺下擺下高清。都出埋了

我係由上一個official released firmware 看不到 ISO version down 番去最latest 可看ISO version.

呢個情況好微妙，如果你唔睇ISO，根本無需考慮，即up，通常新firmware點都好過舊
以往經驗話我知，OPPO啲firmware就算係beta版，都好少會有bug，最多都係up完好似冇up咁，睇唔出分別

但我哋呢啲玩ISO嘅，就點新都唔會up，亦唔會介意出得多BD，最好有咁多出咁多

I very doubt on any improvement to convert to 24P by player's software, if the DVD version have already converted from 24P to 50/60P by the manufactories, just like when you watching the Hollywood movies on TVBHD, they are also output on 50P, do you feel it playing not smoothly, you may also try to force you display output 24P (if it has this function) to see the result.

But I have yet update the firmware so that I can't give any actual comments.
