turbo is the route to go for high efficiency, fuel economy and power.
pushing a 2.0l na to 200+ bhp is not easy at all, honda has already done it and make it roughly around 220bhp to 250bhp without sacrificing low/mid range badly. but pushing it beyond 250bhp will cost a much higher budget to produce. better intake design (individual throttle bodies perhaps), better exhaust (equal length manifold?), lighter and better internals, high lift cam (but will surely ruin the low/mid range)..... blue printing COSTS a lot of money.
but a good turbo upgrade can give say 30% increment without sacrificing at all. the merc A45 (2.0l 360bhp) and peugeot RCZR (1.6l 270bhp) are the very good examples. |
