G-0Rb大有來頭，採用的可是「原子鐘」所應用的「銣」(Rubidium)頻率產生器。簡介一下「銣」(Rb) 這個元素：原子序37，是第四個鹼金屬元素，化性非常活潑，所以很不安定，在空氣中就會自燃。銣的熔點只有攝氏39度，在常溫下是固體，但溫度稍高就熔成液體了。銣震盪器一般是運用在衛星、航太儀器與軍事應用方面，準確度達三萬年僅誤差一秒的水準！僅次於「銫」原子鐘與「汞」原子鐘。G-0Rb標示的誤差是正負0.05ppb，這數值是多少呢？等於0.00005ppm，比起G-03X又準上2000倍！
