Finlux launching 4K TVs with familiar design at Gadget Show Live

The Gadget Show Live begins tomorrow (9 April) and our friends at Finlux will be using it to launch their new range of 4K TVs.
As well as practically sized 50-inch and 65” models, the Finlux 4K TV range will include a mahoosive 84” 4K set.

We have to say that design looks mighty familiar – in fact we can ‘easely’ see that Finlux has taken some inspiration from the Samsung designers with that picture frame design.

Prices for the 4K sets will start at £1,999 for the 50-inch so they are not that much cheaper than the more mainstream brand’s entry-level 4K sets so they will need to perform to justify their position in the market.



The 65-inch will set you back £2,999, whilst the ‘designer’ 84-inch is a penny short of £15,000. The Samsung equivalent design is something like 3 times the cost, for reference, but that doesn’t stop it being less than eye-pleasing, in our view.

Finlux will be also exhibiting its latest Smart TV ranges, showcasing its premium 47” and 55” 3D Smart TVs. They offer super slim designs and 2D to 3D conversion, if that floats your boat.

Finlux will also be introducing visitors to new 32”, 42” and 50” Smart TVs that come equipped with built-in Freeview HD tuners as well as some key apps, including Netflix, BBC iPlayer, YouTube and TuneIn Radio.

Naturally we’ll be getting many of these sets in for review and it will be interesting to see how the 4K TVs stack up, in particular.
