Wooh, GREAT!! 請問有無試過用 optical hdmi 來駁 DAC，個效果會唔會同傳統 HDMI 好唔同？

The 2 power input are the both connected to the same DC input.  It is for convenience supporting 2 popular power input standard.   The standard power supply is using DIN DC input.   I'm using a custom built DC power buffer from 長物志 which use the other DC power input.  So I don't need to custom-build power cord.

Wyred4Sound implementation of I2S over HDMI connection is galvanic isolated.  There is no need to add optical isolation.  Femto clock of MS2 would be wasted if you add optical isolation in signal path.  Optical isolation circuit typically introduce jitter during conversion.  

In fact, you cannot use HDMI optical isolation with it.  The physical cable is HDMI, the signal transmitted is NOT HDMI, it is I2S.  HDMI optical isolator will NOT work for I2S signal transmission.

測試 Wyred4Sound MS2 +  Wyred4Sound DAC2 DSD SE with Femto Clock.  

非常正，完全去除 USB 或 SPDIF, 用I2S 直驅 DAC2 .

I2S DSD 64 Direct Streaming, OK!


I2S DSD 128 Direct Streaming, No problem!


I2S DXD Direct Streaming, sounds great!

你可能發現右邊有個I2S Switch.  用途是決定是否 output 5V 到HDMI Pin 18.  

Wyred4Sound I2S over HDMI 是 Galvanic Isolated.  但Rockna 及Audiobyte 要求是Pin 18 5V presence.  所以特別要求 W4S Demo 機容許選擇性 output 5V 到 Pin 18.
