都係睇吓佢點設計由Ethernet in到dac成條internal playback path啫。

小弟在 showroom 兩次聽的都是1Tb 的 demo機。
但聽聞本港的 SGMS 買家買的都是4Tb option。

Dear r002,  

SGMS  got 1 TB  ~ 4TB SSD version version at the  moment .
and suppport external NAS shared storage.  

We will use Roon for remote control.  and it got USB output .

Hi r002 hing,

SGMS got 1-4TB version at the moment.  

The reason for only 1 SSD is because factory tried all SSD some high freq noise.  if we have more than 1 SSD in the server.  the performance is NOT good .   So,  it insist to have 1 SSD installed ONLY for best performance.....  so,  we have 4TB at most .....

Keyboard , mouse and Monitor is NOT necessary for connection !  We don't need it  in daily usage.

yes, everything count!  but the sgms performance is really good ,especially for streaming one like Tidal.  we will not hear any harshness or digital signature at all. very interesting performance.

not all option are using samsung ..... and the sgms got very interesting implementation in absorb ssd high freq noise ..... they tried almost all options  and they pick the best one now.

They have even try to use battery powered for SSD.  


First customs build windows which takes 16 hours for compilation.
but the most interesting is the their Windows 10 was compiled by themselves .     NOT stock Windows 10 from MS.  normally Windows consume almost 20GB in size for fresh install  . but this one got 8GB in total !

SGMS  takes 16 hours for windows compilation and you cannot use Windows installation program for installing it for new machine .      They write their own installation script for installing windows themselves !

AO or Fidelizer is NOT working on their machine, AND SHOULD NOT be used as that will degrade the sonic performance!

sorry ,  don't really get what you mean .  

and may be we did not explain clearly.  we did not say 4TB got more noise over 1TB one.  I re-read what I wrote,  i believe I wrote more than  1  SSD will generate more noise than 1 SSD  (but NOT 1TB, you can read again).  Therefore,  the factory insist to have 1 x SSD ONLY for maintaining the lowest noise level.  that is what factory insist after they tried both ways.

So,  may be you misunderstand what I wrote yesterday.

你如果有信用卡，可以簽完卡，再自己同銀行講分期，當然之前要問清楚你張卡有依個服務啦

I had a long session in Ben’s place this afternoon. About 2/3 of the time was spent on listening to SGMS+HQ player+ Total DAC 6 (Ben had sold both Twelve that he imported; otherwise that would have been used for listening).Tracks were resampled as necessary to suit Total DAC’s 24/192. Then the DAC was changed over to T + A for the remaining 1/3 time. For this the tracks were resampled to DSD 512. Majority of the tracks used for listening to Total were used again for  T + A. I discussed the pros and cons of each track with Ben whilst we listened together and talked candidly about other topics in audio as well. A rewarding session for me indeed. The sound was better than I expected and there was even revelation in a couple of tracks with which I am familiar. As I chose the tracks and also their specific portions, I listened to more tracks and took more notes than those in the Tidal room in the recent HiFi show.
The whole system cost less than HK$400,000 with the Total DAC and less than HK$300,000 if T + A DAC is substituted in Total’s place.
Overall sound is top end and the setup even has a couple of aspects that excel systems that I have heard, costing much much more.
Clarification: price of whole system means SGMS+DAC+PRE-AMP+two MONO AMPs+3.5 SPEAKERS

Rockna 上星期出左 DSD512 比 Wavedream MK II DAC .... 可以試Sound Galleries Music Server with DSD512 for R2R DAC的感覺....   

SGMS with Rockna for DSD512 中頻聲音密度的與之前有好大分別.....  有DSD512 的vinyl 感覺....之前試SGMS with  PCM 384 與現在的感覺完全不同呢。。。。

不能同意更多！

用開Wavedream一段時間了，呢次Rockna 更新firmware，從最高支持DSD256上到DSD512，加上filters enhancement，確實輕輕鬆鬆令音質更上一層樓，訊息密度高了，聽感舒服度得未曾有！這次進步算係回應競爭激烈的市場，也算係回報Rockna用戶支持，我要向Rockna 掌門人Nucu Jitariu敬個禮。

叧，知道SGMS從零搭建出一個「Window」及硬件應用創新（如用choke餵SSD，單一SSD更優的考証）我認為取價好合理，預算之內的唔聽埋SGMS就去馬好容易係一個錯誤決定。
