事隔一個月, 兩場分享會依然爆滿, 可以想像得到, BEN SIR魅力沒法擋.

CAS篇 - Music Sever的選擇 PART 2在星期六已完滿結束, 又等我鎗王分享下當天的相片啦.

PART2的分享會, 比PART1多多一部MS.

會員未到齊, BEN SIR已經與早到的會員分享CAS心得了.



今天示範的器材















開場白又係由我多謝BEN SIR及眾會員抽空到臨及簡單介紹今天的流程.







之後就到BEN SIR講解今次的器材







由於每部機只試聽兩首歌, 所以換機換線時間, 就由我同大家分享下CAS心得.





今次我覺得靚聲過PART 1, 所以我都忍唔住坐底聽下歌.



中場休息, BEN SIR又為大家準備了小食.





個個會員都非常好學, 休息時間都捉住BEN SIR介師過料呢.







完左第一場, 又係黎幅大合照先.



第二場開始前, BEN SIR又要SET番一輪線材接駁.





今場有師兄表明想黎聽這部無源前級.



大家都落足耳力, 聽真每部MS的分別.

多謝兩位版主和Ben sir的招呼。聽了七八部streamer或music player, 幾乎分不淸那一部是那一部，提議版主安排一張測試清單和spec，供大家記錄聽感最好。但實在感謝你們的付出和安排。

此外，為要讓大家對各player有一致的setting的公平比較，可能未能讓各機發揮最佳音效，例如大白羊最好聲是AES 輸出，但是次統一用普通USB線直出。
此外，在是次比試上，我發現
1. 用SSD比harddisk靜和音樂較耐聽
2. 有用線性電處理的player明顯比較靜和較細緻
3. 最貴的server音場最闊，但下盤收得較快和量小，中音最細緻，高音也ok.
4. 暫時DSD512不是最佳方案（換了Rickna dac不及原來用的Total Dac)

多謝兩位版主及Ben sir的安排。

因為今日是比較不同價位/設計的 music streamer，我比較留意每部機的微動態及分析力(主要是留意張學友首歌)，結果是一分錢一分貨。可能 Ben sir 的系統比較鐵面無私及每部機用相同而不是高級線材，所以試到最後兩部機才覺得好靚聲。
幾乎忘記了要多謝 Ben sir 無私的分享玩CAS的經驗。

Dear emc1,  

thanks for coming !!!


1. 其實這是最fair 的測試呢.... 所有機都用同一條 Westminister Labs Pure Silver USB cable ( 分析力比copper USB 高) .  我認為無話最好的輸出...  作為一間廠.  每個輸出都有人用, 而且USB 輸出, Aries 有 Femto clock for USB already,   所以唔可以話不好,  factory emphasis on the femto clock in marketing on the other hand.  

而且CAS 最主要係 USB，因只有USB可以播放 24/384 and DSD128x , 256x, 512x     ...亦只有 USB 是所以機都有 ,  then we can eliminate digital cable 聲底 difference ,  and DAC side different digital input implementation 的分別 ,  跟住我們先可以KEEP all other factors as constant and compare ONE variable .     SO it is the MOST fair way .  

Device list (按出場序):
1. auralic aries mini, 2. Innuos zen mini 3.  auralic aries 4. Antipodes DS , 5. Innuos Zenith 6.  Antipodes DX and 7. SGMS


3. The conclusion cannot be draw that way, as both DAC got different sonic signature . especially on bass .  
DSD512x can eliminate the digital harshness ,  My friend and I compared  "From the New world" ,  both of us prefer dst512x to dsd64x with better instrument separation  !    DSD512x got huge density in playback ,  so,  Symphony classical ,  Jazz got advantage too .   as I have not demos on classical and jazz.  

4. totalDAC d1-six (好好聲的, i have tried to compare something double with its cost and lose the race ） !  and d1-six got higher cost over Rockna WD DAC by quite some margin too....

5. Even both are R2R ladder dac,  but they emphasis on different area and  their  implementation base on designer's skillset and sonic preference .... when we hear classical or Jazz which need density,  there is very interesting story .

小弟以前用tube pre,  not a good way for ching to do comparison for DAC and CAS source as it got its sonic signature .   

With Bespoke type passive preamplifer  ,  it is very transparent ,  then the music server sonic performance will be fully revealed...好的好..... 差的也沒有得再係前級到化妝了....  用來作為師兄比較 source side device 的道場.  小弟覺得是比較合適呢.....

更加十分多謝 Ben Sir 的準備及分享，除了主角 music server 外，由 rip 碟到 dac 到喇叭單元都學到好多嘢！

個人意見部 antipodes DS 真係非常吸引！

首先，我覺得用同一條USB線來比是公平的，我只是提出用USB輸出，是否是該機能提供最佳的聲音，作為用家，我覺得我不是作學術研究，研究那一部機的USB輸出最好聲，而是想知道每部機最好聲能去到幾盡。
其次，我覺得DSD512暫時不能用在Total Dac上，這才可惜，使DSD512不能達最佳的聲音，在同一部Dac上，DSD512當然好過DSD64啦。有否比較DSD128用在Total dac和DSD512用在Rockna上？誰勝誰負呢？

唔...if that output the factory said it is very good ,  I believe we should trust the factory.  

the factory did not said anything about there is different jitters level between diff outputs.  then we will assume they are all equal.  如果我地用不同的輸出.....  我怕其他的廠家也會馬上有不同的回應呢 , hehe .

好多時,  如我在break time所說.  AES與USB 的不同, 有時是由於其他variable ... 好多時要先測試DAC side  的聽感的不同感覺呢.   好多時 ,  it got different sonic signature is base on different implementation on the DAC side(internally) rather on the server side呢) .   For totalDAC,  the implementation on the AES/Coaxial and the USB is using difference components ,  所以, 如果DAC side 同一時間又有不同的方案時.  有時我怕其實唔知個聽感不同 是那一個factor contribute 呢.....

我有試過用 ,  I did use the Westminster Silver AES and Silver USB cable and working on the Rockna DAC.  whose diff. between AES and USB is less.  and you will know  the diff between AES and USB for aries 其實是小呢.....

For totalDAC,  the max input rate is 24/192 and dsd64x ,  so we can't play anything above that at the moment 呢 ..... sorry for the case.

謝謝Ben sir解答，作為買家，在是次公平的測試裏，又證明了一分錢一分貨的道理，我覺得依表現計，質素可以分為三組。一萬元下一組，1-3萬一組，10萬以上一組。我想大部份的師兄也是為中間一組而來。所以希望了解該組別的player最盡有幾好聲。
我真是比較了Aries 的USB和AES輸出，發覺AES是好很多的，正如Ben sir的解釋，除了AES的輸出電壓較USB高，Noise影響較少外，Dac side 可以在AES輸入時增加寶品來增加聲樂質素，但USB輸入便不可了，這可能造成AES比USB好聲的原因。所以我也提議在USB加寶品來推高USB的表現，現在我確是用幾種USB的寶品來使用Aries的USB的輸出，最終也能追上它用AES的表現了，為發燒玩家，我經常想怎樣可以用盡部機的潛質，希望大家不要怪我多意見，謝謝。

小的未有機會比較 Aries 的 USB 跟 AES 分別，但如以試聽會的 setup 計，小的覺得 Aries 贏唔到身價比它低的 Innuos Zen Mini.
所以自己都真金白銀買咗台。

我個人都對兩台Innuoue都留下很好的印象。 一平一貴，聲底都差唔多 分別只在分析力。底頻控制力及寧靜度  功能全面 CAS入門至中度發燒的好選擇！

於答問時間，Ben sir 分享使用工業用的除靜電風扇去消除CD靜電的心得，請問可否補充多一些資料(例如除靜電風扇牌子，型號及功率)?

You are welcome!   

the destat fan I am using is from desco US.  it is an industrial equipment for electronics factory normally,  main application is NOT for Hi Fi.  they have only two models which suitable for home use (I mean in term of the size).      

I am using the big one and one of my friend is using the smaller one .  both are good .  You can download their datasheet on RS Components I believe.
