好少人用，PS Audio DirectStream DAC + PS Audio DirectStream Memory player真係唔錯（唔使玩鐘）。最近個DAC有新firmware, 好似一換咗個DAC一樣, 好感動!

上次冇換机，今次舊事重提，因財力有限只能玩二手，現心中有几部机希望師父/師兄们幫忙比啲意見，謝謝！！！
1. Playback MPS5
2. Dcs Purinni player + U_clock
3. Esoteric K1
4. Soulution 540
聽Jazz, 女声。仲有冇其它提供？？？！

我都玩過以下SACD機：
- Dcs Purinni player + U_clock
- Esoteric K-01X
- Soulution 540
聽Jazz, 女声。

講真，dCS聽落最有味道（味精？），音樂感十足！
K-01X分析力超班，音響性十足，絕不乾聲！
540其實冇乜味道，分析力又未到esoteric 恐怖級，但聽落自然流暢，唔知係咪叫感染力？

如果淨講jazz同女聲，我推介Soulution 540或dcs rossini

Thanks for your advice, the argument points are these 2 model are more than 10 yrs. Technology and maintenance may be the concerns. 541 and paganini may be better, but price sky high. The Esoteric I am talkin is K1 not K01x. Is it an other choice?

我會選1. Playback MPS5，簡單宜玩價錢合適，曾有位朋友玩此機 ＋ jeff rowland推kharma，效果十分出色。唯一擔心嘅係二手市場罕見

540 can be upgraded to 541 by vendor upgrading the DAC board, which costs less than 40k.
Personally, I don’t notice very dramatic difference  with 540 after DAC upgrade, but a bit even more smooth. Please note, 540 upgrade to 541 only including DAC board, and a genuine 541 has a better power board using better capacitor (mundorf) which will definitely lead to sweeter sound.

K1 is far far better than K-01x.
My experience on K-01X only could be a reference to you.

For SACD, I will choose among those using true 1-bit dac only. Otherwise, no point to buy SACD.

Ching, please PM where to buy this SX1 and what is the retail price? it may be better for me to use this SX1 + a higher level DAC ...

So up to this moment. K1, 540 and MPS5 had been suggested by CHing, Purcinni + U-clock is out in the consideration.

A new option SX1 + a decent DAC (M1 or medea+) is another options .

My budget is about $80K in the second hand market.

Luxman---PASS, not so good as Esoteric & Accuphase

Esoteric ---neutral , analytical, musical not so bad as before (gradually improved)

I hv tried both before.
If you have plenty good SACD, go for 540;
If you like analytical and detailed sound stage, go for 540;
If you like sweet sound, go for medea+
If you play CAS, go for medea+
