For both cases, the total power output should be the same (= double the single amp connection).
However in some situation as mentioned below may exhibit difference from the application principle.
  
For Bi-amp connection,
Each of the amp will usually drive the upper and lower frequency drivers of the spk individually.  Since the frequency split (or the crossover frequency) and practically for different music content will have uneven distribution of upper and lower frequency content, the power output cannot be shared between the two amp in bi-amps application (i.e. if in case there has a strong drums music with little upper frequency content, the power output from the amp driving the tweeter cannot be shared to the other amp for driving the woofer).

For Bridged amp connection,
The total power output from the bridged amp will be shared (in relative sense) in a more flexible manner for driving the upper and lower frequency unit of the spk.

The above situation will not be applicable for driving a full range (single driver unit) spk.

小弟試過用Crown XLS1500做過stereo 8ohmn-300W & bridge 8ohmn-1050W, spk 係Revel F12, 效果分別係bridge左大聲少少，因好力左，但最大分別係高低頻去得更盡。但不粗
聲。所以加多部Crown CTs2000 1000w@channel推F12

i am also thinking of getting one more (identical) power amp for bi-amp application.  this will need less/none modification to both amp but just the cable.  since the power-amp is well over 20 years old, match them completely is not easy so one for left and one for right seems no good.  but a friend told me i can use one to drive tweeters and one to drive woofers.  and a healthier one to drive the woofers should be better.
