Most probably I will vote the new T version cables.

twist version is more convenience to connect, also new to old users, I think nobody has the experience to compare with the flat heavy weight version yet except Michael.

Michael actually says the two versions uses different technologies, the twisted new version has protector tech embedded, not just atomic bonding..... But honestly specs are rather pointless without hearing, although he did mentioned which is better.

I tried, old version also has protector tech involve. I tried separately,grid protector, Reference 3000 RCA and SPDIF,  all of them eliminate booming and shields interfering.New version not tried yet, but believe will not be lesser than present.

Please don't misunderstand, I'm not saying the new version is better for sure, I am only quoting what Michael says, and it's a logical guess that even IF all things are equal, lighter and easy to turn is always better.
Either way I'll have my order delivered soon, maybe we can do some tests ourselves.

I can never agree on the upgrading price asking by Devialet especially for early buyers.  It is not fair nor justified, period.  Of course it is only my thinking and others can disagree.  

So even I have spare cash I would not spend it on upgrading to D440 Pro but rather invest on something worths it.  BTW the grid protector is cheaper than Euro 5,990, upgrade price from 400 to 440 pro.

Schnerzinger products are beyond believe, until you auditioned not in the showroom, but in your own home. It may sound exaggerated, but most so called upgrades needed A/B tests, their products doesn't need A/B, improvements are too obvious.

Common sense do not apply to their products really.

Extreme 8000 SC & XLR, Grid & EMI Protector

同係 X8000，XLR粗過喇叭線好多。


新款喇叭線一分二，已經唔再需要 jumpers。

收咗貨一星期，24/7開住煲咗一個星期，不過聽落煲唔煲都無咩分別.......一開聲已經好正。

一月尾 home demo 完後訂咗兩對線，兩個 protectors，終於上星期一收到。Protectors 係Grid 同埋 EMI ，線係喇叭線同埋 XLR，原本係訂 X5000，因為初時覺得買太靚對喇叭都出唔到咁多detail會嘥咗，不過因緣際會之下決定換喇叭，所以三月尾問吓 Michael可唔可以升級，佢話得，不過就要 delay，橫掂都係等，升咗先算。

聽感其實好簡單，同 protectors 做嘅野一樣，音場既深且闊好 airy而又不失密度，低頻控制力強，分析力極高，最重要係聲音唔再 harsh，樂器非常像真.......講真真係乜都升幾級。老實講得把口無用，下次約 home demo 試試就知龍與鳳,我就喺五月又加咗價加仲未收貨前已經訂多三個 protectors，有幾好真係不言而喻。
