Auralic Aries G2 vs Lumin U1

想請教 , 各位師兄有冇試過 Auralic Aries G2 同 Lumin U1?
兩部都可用 Lumin Apps, AA G2 有多個 Mon 睇,  Lumin 用過覺得穩定啲.
有冇師兄比較過呢?

Between the two brands, only Lumin has official MQA Core decoder, for people who listen to Tidal Masters or MQA CD.  It restores >22/24kHz music information as contained in a 88.2/96kHz Hi-Res file.  Unofficial ways to process MQA usually just upsample the undecoded file without restoring actual music information beyond 22/24kHz.

講App的穩定同流暢度, Auralic 個lightning 有邊個可以相比?
software 更新又快, email 問佢地野一晚都唔洗就覆到
(以前我都有玩Lumin , 問佢地野十問九唔應 , 再唔係就成個星期先覆)

Tidal 由16bit 44.1 到 MQA 32bit 352.8 都有
p.s. 可能有更高, 未有時間搵

檔案支援又夠高, PCM 16-32bit 44.1-384, DSD 64-512

其实你覺得U1 MINI + LPS與U1有什么差別呢？或者講U1 MINI還有需要改做LPS嗎。因為SMPS做得好可以比LPS更好。

U1 ships with Lumin LPS, with a heavy aluminium chassis for mechanical stability and shielding.  U1 MINI has an internal SMPS.  Power supply can affect SQ.  (Those who use U1 MINI with a third party LPS need to be aware that in the rare case that a Lumin needs to be shipped back for repair, they must have original parts inside unmodified.)

Right now the features of the two are the same.  In the future, there may be a feature enhancement reserved for U1 but not U1 MINI.

I agreed power supply highly affected SQ. The question is how good is your SMPS inside MINI compare to 3rd party LPS or U1. Of course, I know the chassis matters. As I read from other forum, MINI sounds almost as good as U1.

I'd like to think it is pretty good at this price point and the same SMPS performed well in D2.  The regular U1 is better, at a much higher price point.  We do not encourage the use of third party LPS in U1 MINI or D2.  U1 MINI is marketed as a product with a really great value and is well received worldwide.

Besides, is it Linux based? If yes, can I install some apps on it.

Yes, it's based on a custom Linux.  It is a fixed function device not suitable for installation of other stuff.

都卯人過來談論ARIES啦。AURALIC沒有MQA，不支持ANDROID。在HK沒有QOBUZ的情況下，TIDAL獨大了。ARIES的產品力完全不足。
