Hi agent_kith,
I just bought a new pc but I just found out that it's using Intel I219V LAN card and I'm not about to make it works.

I've followed the instruction in this link:

and downloaded the custom kernels from this link:

Network Intel IGB - If using the Intel i210/i350 network card
   install-4.4.9-rt17-i686-igb-20190223.zip (Size: 3.47 MB / Downloads: 0)
   install-4.4.9-rt17-amd64-igb-20190223.zip (Size: 3.4 MB / Downloads: 1)

I've tried both i686 and amd64 ISO files but no luck.

For both of them, I can install Snakeoil OS but the IP Address: is blank. Would you please give a helping hand as I loved the sound of Snakeoil.

This card should use the e1000e driver, that means the stock install kernel should already work. Can you connect a monitor and keyboard to this machine, and run:

1. sudo dmesg|grep e1000e -i

Hey, Mcak c hing.  Did you buy 8-8-8-24 ram or 7-7-7-24 ram for this new music server PC?  It's important arh.
And how many PCI slot inside?  If there are 2 or more, then you may consider to buy a better lan card and usb card.  People said it would be better in terms of communicating with CPU so to the latency and sound.

Here's the CPU-Z of my RAM, don't know how to read. I don't have a plan for additional LAN card at this moment but may consider to add a PCI-USB card later on. First priority now is to make Snakeoil works.

When I typed in "make install", it shows:
*** Kernel header files not in any of the expected locations.
*** Install the appropriate kernel development package, e.g.

而我指既 ram 係要買時指明的，會清楚印係 ram 上，然後你按你買到的 value 係 CMOS 到 set 死佢。

市場上一般唔 specify 就會賣 9-9-9-24 的 ram，最平。

實得嘅，放心。不過 Agent Kith 係 SO 個 forum 話佢個到停電………

Btw, 不如你 check 下你呢 Ram 上印住乜嘢，然後按印住嘅 value 係 CMOS 到 set 死佢，唔好俾佢 auto。試試看。

師兄，剛試過，蛇油music player 顯示是USB audio，native DSD，LKS顯示是DXD 384.2 。
早前沒留意dac，只留意蛇油
