英國SME 推出 Model 12/A盤、臂組合.  這是繼Synergy 之後的獨立盤+臂 型號,  較適合已玩開唱盤嘅朋友. Model 12/A 主要設計概念係 '細密'.   

SME 發覺好多音染是來自機身共振所賜.  所以如果可以減低機身面積, 那就可以減低諧振.  但, 機身重量過輕又會出現問題.  因為機身過輕容易受外來干擾影響.



基座 - SME利用密度較高的物料做底座, 再以不同物料來抑制諧振, 令唱臂、唱頭在拾音時全頻可以得到更好嘅延伸.  Model 12 唱盤軸承升級到和Model 20 一樣的規格, 諧振和斗擺率升級.  聲音穩定!



電源 - 新款電源係統強調準確.  誤差只有0.01%.  還有, 新款電源是以整件鋁材以CNC車出來.  這對聲音有著莫大好處.



唱臂 - Model 12/A 選配特別版 309,  全臂為啞黑色, 望落高貴, 臂管線改用Crystal 純銀線材, 靚聲保證.

客人本身是 Model 10/A 用家已幾年,  喜歡Model 10/A 的size 及超穩定嘅聲音.  見到Model 12/A 非常著迷, 在試音室爭扎了幾次, 終不敵毒魔.  




打開 Model 12/A, 跟 Synergy 差不多, 原來臂巳裝上.  用家可節省裝臂之時間.



最關鍵時刻到了, 開聲就知有冇升級到?


結果係...飲得杯落.  起碼好20%.  Model 12/A 比10/A, 音牆更深濶更穩定,  音像更多細節, 更啱比例, 動態強得多. 客人十分滿意

None of the other famous turntable „Models“ from the legendary analog forge SME in Steyning, southern England were closer to resembling a real life fashion model than the brand-new Model 12. The round hips of the two-piece turntable‘s drive and the slender waist of its control module fit perfectly into each other, giving it a soft, somehow feminine look despite its rather technoid feel and the tonearm protruding like a pointed elbow.

Nevertheless – or perhaps exactly because of that – the Model 12 is a turntable for the experienced hi-fi enthusiast, as, for him, hard facts count just as much as the indisputably great reputation of the SME brand. And in that regard the player, which weighs a good 25 kilograms, has a lot to offer! In addition to the aluminum base, which was milled from one solid block and which has the SME logo carved into its front plate, the Model 12, for example, features a high-precision disc bearing whose steel shaft ends in an extremely hard ball of tungsten carbide. Latter, in turn, rests on a counter bearing made of equally resistant phosphor bronze, giving the turntable outstanding rumble measurements

這是type 20C， 是鑼絲款式。

有售給任何唱盤都適合的是1170

是的，好像從前的Goldmund 夾一般的設計。

This exciting entry level turntable uses the unique styling of Synergy and comes complete with the highly acclaimed SME 309 tonearm and internal Crystal Cable wiring as standard.

The turntable is supported on four large polymer isolators inside adjustable feet, which allow for levelling. Machined from a single billet of aluminium, the trilateral sub-chassis, which holds the main bearing and tonearm, is mounted on three suspension columns. The main spindle is 19mm machined from chrome tool steel.  It is machine ground and supported in a sealed housing with individually matched bronze bearings needed to support the platter.



The turntable is driven by a 3 phase, brushless out runner motor with 8-pole Neodymium magnets and three integrated hall effect sensors.  Contained within a precision-machined housing, the total motor assembly is virtually vibration-less, as its 2.5 kg (5.5lbs) weight is isolated from the sub chassis by urethane mounts and spikes.

Many arm/table combinations costing multiples of its price come nowhere near this level of execution and performance, while in use the 12A is sheer pleasure.


Model 12A 是 SME 的新作, 亦是Mr. Stuart Mcneilis 接管 SME 後的第一炮.  作為飛機工程師的他,  用他從事飛機工程的技術投放在 Model 12 身上.  無論在物料, 避震 和電源都升級了不少.  我們在聽過Model 12 之後之能說一句: 一山還有一山高.  非常佩服
