Viablue EP-7S Silver Lan Cable

Dear Chings,
Sometime back I purchased some Viablue EP-7S Silver Lan cable from a European online shop. When I strip open the conductors are NOT silver in colour, it is copper. I thought this cable is silver plated, any ching can share your experience ? Thank you.

Its website stipulates that the cable uses silver plated copper.

Can you disclose the online shop's name?
Do you find other defects of the cable?
Do you satisfy with the performance of this Cable?
Can you disclose the set up of you system?

I think making fake cables of Viablue is not worthwhile as Viablue did not invest too much in Marketing.

The online store is Audioxxxnics from France, do exercise care if you wish to buy from them. Their unit price is only €4.92/m.

Suggest you report the case to Viablue to find out the truth. You might have special reward from Viablue.

Reply from Viablue : "After several tests, we decided to use pure OFC copper to fulfill all needed technical requirements for data transfer. So the cables is at it should be."

So the cable I have might be a genuine one, nevertheless responsible mfr should never make false claim on their product, case closed anyway. Hope Chings beware in future.
