Hi, c hing, I've compared the (FS.com media converter + fs.com laser module) with (Omnitron + Startech) in recent 2 nights.  The difference is just like changed a DAC? a pre amp? Or a power amp?
The sonic difference is very significant.  Let said, improvement in the density, saturation, layering, positioning, depth of stage, not to mention the dazzling details revealed in front of me.  The beat, dynamic and flow of the energy brings the sound to everywhere in the room that, I feel like just being with the bands, or orchestra.  So live!
It's hard for me to believe so, but it's true.

I think it's interesting!
Breaking down the comparing steps, roughly speaking, I guess that 45%, 55% of the improvement is contributed by the Omnitron FMC and Startech laser module, respectively.
But maybe the obvious improvement from Startech is with aid of the presence of Omnitron FMC.  Because in my memory, in past when I replaced the FS.com FMC & laser module with the Startech laser module, the improvement is really, definitely not that obvious, and significant.

Amazon delivery only will arrive on 14Sep.

When I placed order with Amazon last week I saw the Omitron FMC only had one piece stock left so I choose the Startech FMC instead. Regret to find the last one gone as well last night

Hi PhantomGTR Ching,

All items (Switch, FMC, laser modules) which ordered from Amazon and fibres cables from FS.com had arrived. I’m connecting the Cisco switch with u1-mini via RJ45 only as the LPS by Ediscreation is under production.

Edison tells me it takes 10 days to finish. I think next week will be ok.
