I removed the fuse holders entirely by soldering the wires behind the holders together, otherwise no point.
The reason for fuse is to protect the ribbon from DC offset (leakage) from poweramp, but 1) this seldom occurs with modern good quality poweramps & 2) Maggies are so inexpensive that I’m not too concerned even if the ribbon is burnt.
Just cannot see the point of using good (i.e. expensive) speaker cables to carry the precious music signal, then let it pass through 2 extra soldering points, a cheap fuse holder & a fuse of hairline thickness (all consist of different metals)
