Hi Kimmy,
Sorry to reply in English as my Chinese Writing board is not working.
I have 2 tone tonearms:
1) Ortofon RS212D (9 inches) with Cartridge SPU A95;
I bought this tonearm set 3 years ago when I first started the LP journey, I would consider this combo is very good value with it performance.
2) Morch DP-8 (12 inches) with Cartridge My Sonic Lab Platinum with SUT 1030
I bought this combo 1 1/2 ago, I gave this combo all the best sources I had on hand including the best connection wire etc. No doubt it would out performance of A95 combo, but in consider of the price different between two of them, is it really worth it? If you asked me, it is like adding some final touch of Snow Sugar on the top of a Strawberry, taste and look a bit better with this Snow Sugar, but you can still enjoy the Strawberry without it.
After these 3 years LP journey experience, the most importance factor I learnt would have been the Vibration Control on the turntable and also the base. Without this fundamental set up properly from the ground up, all those equipment on hand and you spent would be discounted to some certain extend from this unnecessary Vibration.
Enjoy your LP and Transrotor |
