My Anthem/Paradigm HT basic set

I bought the Anthem AVM50V 3D one month ago, keep playing different settings, but sound was not that good. Discussed with my sales and friends, reason could be the source. Tried using BD-player to play CD, sound is better but still not satisfied. My sales asked me to change to AudioQuest XLR cable (he is the dealer of AQ also), but price is too high. I bought a pair of used XLO ref 2 XLR cables on ebay and replaced the old RCA cables yesterday. OMG! All the good sound comes back. I am so happy now and will share my basic set to all you guys!

My sales will do this way to make it legal, for example: subtotal $4133.18 + tax $366.82 total amount $4500. (cash)

Thanks, what I means basic is I don't have any surround system for now. More gears are coming, Oppo 103 should be arrived today, and I will return Cary CD-500 to upgrade to CD-303T. Keep watching my post!

Hello, I am using v.4 as well but my said the sound of this speaker could not get out of the speaker box. Could you help me to solve this problem? What kind of power amp could possibly push this monster? In fact, I am using them for two channel listening!

Hi . gd to kno some1 is using same speaker as mine . How is ur speakers positioning？The positioning is very important for the sound come out from speaker .Or u can use hi analytical cable or hi analytical power cord for your system to assist it .

Hello, I placed the speakers just like huangkang. The distance between the speakers is about  five foot and eight foot to the listening area. Please provide some suggestion for the speaker and power cable cause I am really new to the cable world. Besides , I am using Cambridge 650 A integrated amplifier for the speakers . Any recommendation for better positioning the speakers ? Please, please help me cause I do not want to waste such a good speaker!

5 foot i think is too close .is your speaker putting at the corner of the wall ??? Remember dun put it at the corner of the wall .
power cord u can consider wirewrold or siltech for ur player .
power cord for amp u can consider wireworld .
maybe u can consider fuse 1st .low spending high different .

hv u using filter ? filter can help a lot also .

thanks for your advise. I had placed the speakers for about 7 feet and use my emotiva amplifier XPA-5 to push the speakers. The outcome shows a little bit better but far more from satisfaction. I hope you werehere (Macau) to audit my speakers and give me some suggestions.

My speaker is 20 inches from the wall and is not in th corner !

Okok . Did u toe in ur speaker ??? If yes so ur positioning n equipment shd b no problem . So the problem u need to solve shd b room acoustic n electrical . Actually for Hifi n AV the most important is room acoustic n the 2nd important is electrical . For electrical u can refer to the method above i told u last time .
For room acoustic u can try dis product from france .

actually dis product is quite expensive but its really effective . If u dun 1 dis product u can try other product from taiwan .the price is less than 50% of ASI but the effect is stil not bad .

I had toe in a little bit for my speakers , may I know what power amplifier you  are using for. Besides, should I use all the speaker plug behind the speaker or just the normal left and right plug. In fact , what difference does it make if I use all the four plug just like huangkang . Anyway, thanks for your help!
