Because I already have an Orpheus heritage power amplifier. I think it should be similar to CH power amplifier. I want to buy a pre amp to pair it.

I see……

It could be 'safer' to match up your power amp with a Heritage preamp……or match up your ch l1 with m1...(just my 2 cents)

Having said that, I think I would ask Ching - do you really like orpheus, ch or dan more? Or would you like to try tube preamp?

I think orpheus is not quite as popular as goldmund, nagra, ch or soulution here, as far swiss brands are concerned

Orpheus is also hugely expensive, even by hiendy standard

Suggest ching to start an orpheus 同好會 to gather more feedback...

any C hing updated their amps to S250 or mono 400?

At the recent avshow2016, they only put s250 and m400 on static display, and ran the new progression monoblocks instead.  The guy there said momentum was sort of pricey, whereas the newer progression was selling even better.

I think the extra costs for upgrade + shipping, insurance add up to very high level, and overseas customers waited for several months for the upgrade...better off buy a new version and sell the old unit...

suggest to try new gryphon preamp zena first, which is supposedly designed for antileon

if gryphon poweramp is sounding a bit dark, a brighter preamp could do the job...like what...silver wired passive...silver wired tube

dan preamp may be considered on the bright side but it is not a cost-effective solution it does have tonal control for bass and treble

BTW, dan is said to be developing a relentless grade preamp, this could be something

買得起這個 poweramp 電源線也要頂級，十分多選擇。不過可能要訂做，因為耗電量是 40A ， 20A IEC plug，而插頭可能也要 20A.

根據廠方所講，1500W 8ohm 可用一般15A 或 20A 電源線，若要去到 3000W 4ohm, 6000W 2ohm, 就不夠了

電源插頭是乾衣機用的3螺絲頭

電源線可考慮
nbs universal 2 較平均
stage 3 concept leviathan 較細緻， 且去到40A 也可以
high fidelity cable professional 更強力

一般香港家居都未必頂到咁大電力，分分鐘爆電箱。

以前有所謂粗電幼電

幼電 5A x 220V = 1100W

粗電 15A x 220V = 3300W

理論上去到 4ohm 喇叭 也可以

2ohm 喇叭還有嗎？ 鋁帶屏風？
