Looking for AV Amp

Having bought AV Amp for over 10 years but would like to get one now.

I think it is a bit unlikely I go for Atmos ceiling speakers.

May I ask what are some of today's selection criteria?

And Japanese vs European or US brand?

如樓主不喜玩atmos但又好注重極緻的surround體驗，可以考慮歐洲機例如Arcam，Anthem等。但一般與同級日系磯貴約四至五成。軟件及功能上亦比日系機遜色。如以日系機較大件又抵色。

Thanks both.  I haven't used any AV Amps for over 10 years.

It looks like Japanese brand is more up to date?  I looked at Anthem and the 720 had been out for sometime.

I also believed I dont need the Flagship model but probably 2nd or even 3rd.  Now considering between Marantz and Denon.

What are the pros and cons?

你會玩幾多channel？地方幾大，是否影音分家， 現在用緊什麼surround音箱系統，影音比重幾多，buget幾多呢？

I think likely 5.1 with the use of “reflective” speakers.

For stereo, I am currently using Chord/ Soulution with Sonus Faber speakers but may downgrade a bit.

Guess will spend more time on AV becos of younger kids.

Budget for AV about 100k?

Yes, I likely will go for the Denon 6400.  

But I am also thinking to change my stereo to tube amp.

How can I set up and the connection if there is no AV Bypass in the tube amp?

冇av bypass, 咁你每次睇戲，響2ch amp, 除了要轉返睇戲個channel 外，仲要摟返你set av 組合時候嘅音量
