is double sub must win single sub?

Hi all ching,

as title, i am setting up a movie only room..  approx  6m x 5m
And planning to have either marantz AV8003 combo or simply go for anthem ...
As i am planning to hide all cables behind wall ...  so need to plan now..

is double sub always kill the single sub..
for example, for velodyne

two DD12   VS   single  DD18 or DD15

which will have better performance le?
And if placing sub, is it a good way to place the 2 sub side by side under the screen or one front and one back or half way side by side is better choice le?

一隻DD18當然易玩好多啦, 之前去stanley2468 度二佰幾呎地方用一隻DD15都好夠量

so ching reckon single giant sub is better than 2 mid size sub?
is the front under screen the ideal position le? if the room is a perfect rectangular shape.

擺位真係要現場試過先知, 其次要校相位, 你個環境差不多係一個正方型, 我估計玩兩隻可能會有嚴重的駐波

個人認為1隻大單元拾仔在物理上勝過1隻細單元
而雙拾只不過在音量上取勝
如聆聽空間可以用1隻就能有密度填滿空間時
我會用1隻優質大拾仔(DD15 or DD18)
始終要處理兩隻拾仔洽當擺位同配合唔係易事

以上是個被拾仔玩弄的經驗

saw their in wall series...
seems to be quite interesting on their in wall system .. IWS sys2 ...
are they any good?
