DIY Power Bar

I want to try DIY a power bar for CDP and Preamp and phono amp.  Could c-hings please share what casing, internal wires, sockets and IEC receptacle to use for transparent sonic character.  Thanks a lot!

過去幾年diy咗幾個 power distributor, 全用鋁殼, receptacles 用Rhodium, Platinum等. 坦白講,聲音改善程度只可以用感覺良好來形容.

直至年初揾到個重型銅殼, 約8 Lbs重 加上Beryllium receptacles, 聲音立時變得冇回頭. 初時一個銅power distributor 插line+phono.

早前整多一個後將line與phono分開插兩個 power distributor. 不得了,聲音更清更純更乾淨.  所以最近又整多兩個畀 power amp用.

內部接線主要用Cardas. 個人非常注重防震, 所以於receptacles底部再貼上 blue tec防震.

開頭講過用鋁殼時係"感覺良好", 但用銅殼後用不同質料 blade 嘅 receptacles聲音分別係明顯不同, 唔係“似乎”唔同那種感覺. 係清清楚楚不同blade不同聲音嗰隻.

總結來講對喜歡 “清通” 乾淨無音染嘅朋友嚟講建議Beryllium receptacles

Thanks to Greenspan 兄的詳細指教, copper casing weights about 8 pounds 都唔少嘢!

Just one more question on the size of the Cardas wire used.  What is the diameter or cross-sectional area of the wire for internal wiring?  5 square mm 夠力嗎?  Thanks in advance

铝合金电源盒 vs. 全铜电源盒, what is the difference in their sonic characters? Is copper better for shielding against EMI? Could c-hings share experiences.  

After buying a soldering iron already, I intend to make a power bar for preamp and CDP soon
