Recommendations of lcdtv for parents

Going to replace the tv for parents, any recommendations of 42 or 46" lcdtv, no need branded , 3d or any kind of new technology, looking for cheaper models or previous versions.
Any ideas where I can get a bargain for such lcdtvs, thks all in advance.

my parents live in 村屋, i really doubt if they have the antenna to receive hd signals
but idtv is an option too

just looking for some good deals, budget under 10k, I remember philips old models (previous model) doing 8XXX, seems like a good deal to me.
that's why asking c hings if they have encounter any special promotion for tvs lately~

they were using old samsung plasma for 7-8 years,
so they should be able to handle idtv/lcdtv

add a few K and buy them a Panasonic plasma

Just talked to them today, they need a.46" and 32" too. Personally i dont like plasma, the purpose of buying is not for av at all. So perhaps led is more suitable, n i guess led will be more durable than lcd, i m not sure though. Need more research, thx for all impact.
