又平又正的 CAS (MPD on Linux) - 2013-05-02

Cubox (+MPD) Image
做左個 image 係用日本人Mr. Yo 2012-12-22 的 cubox image 改的 (http://www.symphonic-net.com/kub ... rticles013.html#011). 做了以下改動:
1. Delete 了日文 local, 只有 US English locale
2. 安裝了 lighttpd web server (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lighttpd), 這個 web server 係俾 MPD client (如 ipad 上的 mpad) 上以搵到 CD cover image, 如果你的歌係 FLAC / AIFF, 咁就唔需要.
3. MPD 的 configuration 位置改了: 如果無 NAS 的話, 佢會用 RAM drive 上的空間. 如果有 NAS 的話, 佢會將 MPD 的 music database 寫在 NAS 的 ".mpdConf/cubox" 內. 咁下次開機唔使再 full scan music database
4. 支援有歌的 USB 手指插入後會 auto mount 同 update MPD 的 music database, 如果抽出, 佢會自動 update MPD 的 music database, 將 usb 的歌在 MPD 中刪除.
5. 支援read-only filesystem, 即係你可以任何時間斷Cubox 的電, 但 micro SD 又唔會壞.

可以去下載, 并用"Image Writer for Windows" 去寫. 建議搵多一隻 micro SD 去試, 因為可能有問題不能 boot 起. 一般 1-2分鐘便可boot 完 ssh 到, 如果超過2分鐘都不能 SSH 咁即係在你的情況不能 boot... 我都唔知點解, 但有可能發生.

boot 到 cubox 之後, 先改番個佢做read-write mode:

1. mount -o remount,rw /

再用 editor (如 vi, nano) edit 番個 /etc/fstab, 如下,

1. 192.168.1.2:/volume1/music /run/music nfs soft,rsize=130048,wsize=4096,fg,retry=0,nolock 0 0

複製代碼

(把"192.168.1.2:/volume1/music" 改成你的設定)
再 reboot, 咁就再 scan music database 加入你 NAS 內的歌.

I have Cubox first, then know pogoplug so I go out to buy and try.

Do you tried voyage? I am trying to install to my Acer A150 netbook with 4GB SD card. So far have no error but cannot access the web GUI.

I tried Voyage starter kit and installed Voyage on Virtual machine before. As I know, there's no web UI...

No, it is not Webmin.  You just type the IP address of the starter kit and it will bring you to a quite basic interface.  You can control start, stop and update of the mpd.  It also allow you to change the mpd.conf file.

Either plug in a USB key with music, or edit /etc/fstab to include your NAS share to mpd music folder (then reboot)
Next, use ipad or android and open mpd client app, you should see "voyage".

Please refer to my tutorial in first page. Since I don't have Voyage, I don't know exact the music path.
