According to Ed Hsu of Sound Galleries, SSDs emit a noise in the 6GHz range that is very difficult to filter and the faster the SSD, generally the noisier it is.  Based on what I was hearing, I had no reason to doubt what he was saying.
對策應該係好似 romaz 師兄咁樣 Roon Server/Roon Endpoint 兩邊都唔好駁任何 PCIe/SATA/USB drives,用隻手指 boot 起咗 OS 入 RAM 之後就掹咗隻手指,全部 files 放入去有 Wi-Fi 或者 SFP 嘅 NAS 就搞掂。

所以 romaz 師兄嘅路向係 Intel X25-E → eMMC → diskless(即係純 RAM drive),少隻香爐少隻鬼之餘 latency 亦都好很掂。

以我在本地CAS server match with diff top notch DACs  的經驗 (from Audio NOTE Six Elements DAC,  Wadax, TrinityDAC,  MSB, dCS, CH Precision,totalDAC ,  Lampizator ,  EmmLabs DAC, NAGRA HD etc..) .  Emile 的saying is NOT totally correct .... ,  我唔認為同價錢有關.  同解碼的內部解碼方式. 關聯比較大.

for most of the R2R DAC,  may be true.  for most of the FPGA one.  depends ,  dCS Vivaldi is depends.  

有些解碼.  唔Best match and find out the best sample rate and fine tune ,  可以好好衰聲的 ..

小弟一定要試聽 Evo Extreme 夾 Totaldac D1-12 Mk II.....小弟估計一定會好掂。

不過,等小弟再攪埋部 DIY Roon Server (Xeon) 先,因為一試左 Evo 及 Totaldac , 小弟死梗

掂呀。樂器分隔度明顯強左,細節聽多左少少,立体感強左。高中低更平衡。

小弟做了幾日的測試,要修正一下。

外加 card 如 Jcat Net Card 及 SATA Card 插在 PCIE x4 或以上 的 slot (直接與 CPU 溝通,避免經過 Motherboard 的 chipset), 聲音有好大提升,分析力提高,好重要是細節多了,音場大了。低頻更實在。

測試時:

1. 裝了 Windows Server 2016 Datacenter GUI 版 及 Roon Core 的 850 EVO SSD 用 Afterdark 的 Clay.X SATA cable 駁 SATA Card (PCIE x4).
2. 儲存音樂檔案的 Ironwolf 10T HDD 用 Pachanko Pure Reference SATA cable 駁 SATA Card (PCIE x4).
3. 將原本儲存在 850 EVO SSD 的 2G 大 的 pagefile.sys 搬去 Ironwolf 10T HDD,並加大至8G.
4. Bios 關掉 CPU 的 pstate, cstate, hyberthreading, turbo mode 等等,令到 CPU 在穏定的最高速運行 (3.2 GHz).
5. 指派 CPU 的 其中一個核心 (例如 CPU 0) 剩係比 Roon 用. 其他 process 或軟件用其他核心。
6. 在 OS 上 開啟 Fiderzier 8.3 (Free 版)及 Process Lasso (Trial 版)
