why not read past issues (about 1~2 yrs ago) of 'hx fx review', they have used 207/2 for reference for sometimes and matched with many different gears for reviews. They have matched 207 with hegel and modwright and said result was good (but the 2nd values may not be too good.)

I have personally done some brief auditions for  hegel and modwright pre-amp (seperately), and they seems quite good to me. Too bad that I did not hear them together with 207 and give you a more confirmative suggestion.

Currently I am using 205/2 matched with Burmester 082, its a good match as well. But for 207, you certainly need a 'bigger' amp...

有本地hi-fi雜誌主篇, 推介Modwright 前+ Hegel後.   不過如果以C/P值計, 一套Hegel 前後級巳經好好.   以我口味計ASR係非常好的選擇.  ASR會長 howin都係用ASR Emitter I 夾 Ref 203

    I have spent more than half day listened to ASR emitter II with kef 205/2 and moon cd player in MK, ASR drive it well in all kind of aspects, however the sound is quite 'monitor' type,
not sweet but not harsh, good spacious effect. Very good for classic and serious listener. However the its just too tasteless for me (personally prefer some sweetness ), that's why I 'm
not choose ASR. However its just me, blowmean hing could go to MK (near bank center) to listen see whether it fit your taste (even they don't have 207 but just 205). Sorry to share
my shallow ideas..
