May I ask what is your type of music? Preference in sound stage, presentation? What is your cartridge and phone amp?

I like almost any kind of music but I like pop, jazz, classical and new age the most.
I'm using MF XPS PHONO and 103 at the moment.

I have no experience in your phono amp. But I have DL-103r. And I took off the shell and replaced with an aluminium one, it clears up quite a bit of the picture adding more high in the sound. The sound stage was a bit blur due to the plastic shell. Then of course we are talking about taste. I can't say this can be your cup of tea.

With the marriage of EAR MC4 with DL-103, I'm certain you should obtain the gain and the sound you want. Then we are down the lane of selecting your kind of sound. When combining jazz, pop and classic altogether, you'd better choose an amp producing more or less neutral sound?!

Just came to my mind, have you ever considered Tom Evans? I have heard a mid-to-lower model, it was not bad at all. They have some models in your price range.

有師兄話， 睇完EA1000內部，可以算係EA1升級版， 因電源設計同主機都差有相似之處， 當然EA1000真正dual mono同加入同廠T1升壓牛， 比EA1配備更全面啦

想問YS-Audio Ref Phono 原本built in 果對Jensen top grade mc 牛有怎樣分別

Jensen JT-347-AXT 似聽 HiFi, Hashimoto 音樂味較濃, 我訂 Ref Phone 時, YS-Audio 係用 Hashimoto 喺 Ref Phono 上, 不過我 upgrade 到同 The Real 一樣果隻, 好似係貴 HM-3 唔少嘅 HM-7, 因為訂時冇問清楚型號, 只係話用 The Real 果隻, 加咗幾千 依家先改用 Jensen 牛。
