見各位師兄都玩前後分體,小弟的卻是cyrus 8a 一部過, 推B&W cm1 :)

How do you like the 8a ? One good upgrade is the psx-r. I was surprised how it improved the sound of my pre xpd.

其實小弟在英國居住,在云云英國hi-fi品牌中,cyrus對小弟來說是'清','中性',甚至是快聲,當時已鎖定cm1為心水,配以cyrus可以略略收緊cm1偏多的低音,以及改善稍暗的高頻
試過cyrus 6a,輸在控制力,結像略散,以及低頻偏軟,但音色還是收貨

其他比較過的品牌有roksan,arcam,audiolab...

英國好少見到外國品牌....

好多英國人都捧返自己國家啲出品，甚至啲 hifi magazine 如what hifi 和 hi fi choice 都 award 比返自己啲國產貨。其他國家也是一樣，法國，德國，日本，o既 magazine 都係推介返佢地自己國家的出品多。所以買hi fi 前自己要做足功課去了解多些。

多謝你對cyrus 8a 很忠實的分析，我對低階cyrus amp都有同樣的感覺。我自己也曾經用過6vs2 推proac tablette 7 signature, 好neutral, 舒服，沒有很大驚喜。後來就換上pre xpd 和 1 個 x power, 聲底大升級，力水大左，獨立preamp，當然全頻聲底都好啲。後來再加一個 x power, 個 bass 當堂勁到飛起，不過就控制力就好似稍嫌不夠。直至加上2 x psx-r. Bass 方面就實淨哂，十分滿意。最近才加多個psx-r 比個pre xpd, 聲底再實淨啲和clarity 再好啲，而家十分滿意了。

在英國,本土品牌的定價相宜,(大約是在香港售價的八折).相對來說,進口貨貴上不少,如馬仔,yamaha等,小弟查到價格後根本無意欲去試(如yamaha AS2000叫價1500鎊)...

師兄有冇諗/試過monox200/300??

Mono x 200 and 300 功率很大，用balance input 都得，應該會更加dynamic. 但我留意到機背後要用風扇散熱，前面又有散熱孔，即係話有可能會有過熱情況出現，有可能會影響音色，長久個風扇又會有雜音而需要更換，香港又多dust，又風扇，又motor，即有機會有resonance，rfi, emi, 所以真覺得麻麻，不會考慮。

想請問各位師兄,假如小弟身痕想洗錢落供電部份, 以二手psx-r為參考(於英國約200鎊),應該買psx-r定電源線?
另各位psx-r用家,想請問部機對電源線敏感嗎?

我會買psx-r先，一定會有明顯一些的分別，

你用psx-r 用在那一部份?

Power cord having an effect on sound quality with psx-r is noticeable but not as obvious compared to preamp.

psx-r會比部cyrus 8a用,據官網所說,會供電比pre amp的部分,令原有供電專責power amp部分

Right, the following is extracted from cyrus website,

Integrated Amplifier
By taking over the preamplifier stage the PSX-R allows the integrated's internal power supply to focus on the power amplification circuitry. By effectively splitting the power supplies into pre and power sections the benefits of a separate pre/power system are achieved.

So, you should be able to hear more details from the system after the upgrade. £200 is good price as a used item, but how come it is so cheap?

Just check out eBay and you'll see. However you must be aware of the serial numbers as there are 3 models of PSX, which is not necessarily compatible with all Cyrus products...

around how much is the psx in hk?

It is more noticeable on the pre amp with the psx-r. The improvement is on the overall resolution and focus. List price is $6000.

請教 Cyrus 3 或之前, 及之後的聲音風格取向有沒有很大分別?

小弟想搵一部中古 Cyrus 前級玩下.

Cyrus 最經典當然係 cyrus 1 和 cyrus 2， 但以 cyrus 1 比較聞名，cyrus 1 當時多人玩主要係性價比超高，設計獨特，聲底醇，有水份和音樂感，因輸出功率只有20watts per channel, 欠缺當然係dynamics 和 bass.大聲時會失真和失控， 但係這正正是當時嘅classic 英國聲，所以深受玩家愛戴。

上到去cyrus 3 及之後聲底就有小小改變，聲底比較厚小小，中高有啲暗。但因輸出功率上升，dynamics and bass 好左，control 好左，但classic 嘅英國聲冇左，而且價錢上升，所以開始吸引力減低。

上到現在的cyrus就和以前變了很多，現在cyrus 有超多形號選擇，但始終沒有那種classic 嘅英國聲。

因為Cyrus 1 都有25年歷史，如要入cryrus 1 玩，要prepare for repair costs. 因為所有零件都老化，我自己部cyrus 1 多年小聽，個 input selector 都有小小問題。
